Of their group Pyri was the first to settle. He'd gone to training with his friends, proud and boasting of Pyri's magnificent and royal form. She'd flown overhead, joined by Fandral's daemon, who had taken the form of a sparrow, and Thor had smiled up at her. She was his constant. The one thing that, from that point on, would never change again.

Even when his father had banished him to Midgard Pyri had been there, she had given him comfort, even as they formed new friendships and alliances she was the one unchanging point in his world.

During the Battle of New York she had soared overhead, aiding in battle, helping him to return Loki to Asgard. And after, when he'd lost his mother and then his brother, she had perched upon his shoulder and been in agreement with his decision to protect Midgard from any and all threats. As they had returned to their beloved realm she had brushed his cheek with the tip of her wing, her silent reassurance all he needed to know he had made the right decision.
