There were nights when Tendo, unable to sleep, would climb from his bed and walk up to LOCCENT, he would sit there in the dark and tried not think of things he couldn't change. Most times he thought about Raleigh. About Yancy. About how the death of one of his dearest friends had all but destroyed the other.</i>

Sitting in the dark he thought about Raleigh, about Marshall Pentecost trying to find him, and part of him wondered if they would even find the younger Becket alive. Or even remotely whole enough to pilot a Jaeger again.

"He's stronger than you think," Omid said as she crawled from his pocket and down his arm, sitting on his wrist, looking up at him with her tiny dark eyes. "Raleigh has always been strong."</i>

He looked at her. "His brother died in the Drift. Raleigh felt him die as though it were his own death." He shook his head. "I don't want to ever imagine what that must have done to him."</i>

"Broken men can be remade, Tendo," Omid said softly, tapping one of her legs against his wrist, it was her version of a hug. "Raleigh might be broken, might not be who he was before, but he's still our friend. And we will be there for him. No matter what."</i>

Tendo smiled, running a finger lightly over Omid's back. "How'd you get so wise?"

Omid chuckled lightly. "One of us had to have all the brains in this relationship."

They both laughed and, for a little while, Tendo felt a spark of hope well up in his chest.
