As Tonks perfected the skill to change parts of her appearance she heard the whispers about how her Reko would likely settle as a chameleon. She took great pride in seeing Reko prove them all wrong when he finally settled.

"Can't believe they all thought you'd be a lizard," she said as she ran her hand through his fur. "Stupid prats."

Reko shrugged and wagged his tail. "Just goes to show, Nymphadora, that they can't see the best parts of who you are."

Tonks shot him a nasty look despite his words. "Don't," she snapped, much as she did at anyone who used her given name. "Call. Me. Nymphadora."

"Why not?" Reko was on his feet, tail still wagging, eyes shining playfully. "Hmm? It's your name after all. Nymphadora."

Tonks growled lightly as she launched herself at him, tackling him to the floor, laughing as he yipped and licked at her face. Oh yes. Reko was right. Everyone who'd thought he was going to settle as a silly little lizard hadn't really known her. Hadn't really seen who she truly was. But Reko's form was perfect. Absolutely perfect.

Even if he did need to stop calling her Nymphadora.</i>
