Bane and His Daemon

When they loaded him and his men onto the plane it took every ounce of his will not to break his bonds and break the neck of the man whose daemon had shoved Pax. She was his heart, his soul, and no one, save himself, ever touched her. But he maintained his façade, for the sake of the plan, until the CIA agent proved he was as stupid as Bane suspected.

Everything after that went according to plan and once he and his men were safely aboard their own aircraft the first thing he did was run his hand over Pax' fur, reassuring himself that she was fine. When she nipped at his hand he chuckled. "Unfazed I see," he said as she turned a golden eyed glare at him.

"Next daemon that touches me is going to get ripped apart," she snarled back and, much to his amusement, a grey and black ball of fur suddenly launched itself at Pax's neck. He watched as Oana managed to crawl up to sit on Pax's back, not surprised when all she did was huff and glare at the little feline.

"You're lucky I've grown attached to you, little one."

Oana purred loudly. "Oh you love me, you know you do. You loooove me."

Bane chuckled as he looked across the plane to where Barsad was sitting, cleaning his rifle, the man was smiling. Looking at their daemons, now bickering about their feelings for one another, he smiled behind his mask, knowing that Barsad shared his amusement over the situation.
