Spartacus daemon!AU art.
Blurb about Auctus and his Caracal daemon, Ianthe:
Ianthe is a Greek name meaning "violet flower"
Auctus sat in the shade, taking a moment to rest, and watched as the new recruits trained. The two Syrians weren't half bad. Though the smaller of the two would never truly hold his own in the arena. But it was the Gaul who held his attention. The man had heart. Much heart. But it was his daemon that gave Auctus pause.</i>
He'd never seen a cat so large. Not even the lions used from time to time in the arena.
"Perhaps it comes from somewhere much further away than any Roman has ever been," Ianthe mused as she curled around next to him, her gaze fixed on the Gaul's cat. "Somewhere men wisely avoid such beasts."</i>
"Or perhaps it is one of those fantasy creatures, you know, the kind the mad have."
Ianthe shook her head. "I do not think so," she said as she looked up at Auctus. "Crixus isn't crazed. No more than any other in this sort of life."
Auctus said nothing, merely ran his fingers over Ianthe's side, watching as Crixus' daemon listened when their Doctore told her how to move, how to aid Crixus without hindering him. Auctus half pitied whichever fool had to stand toe to toe with the Gaul in the arena. For even if Crixus proved to be only half skilled as a gladiator his daemon would strike plenty of fear into his opponents.</i>
