Hardison hummed as his fingers flew over the keys of one of the many computers set up around the room.

"Do you think Parker actually likes any of us or is she just faking it?"

He paused and looked at Etana, who was sitting in one of the empty chairs, her big dark eyes watching him closely. "I...How am I supposed to know what that crazy thing is thinking?"

"You're always babbling about being able to read people."

"Yeah, well, Parker is like trying to read War and Peace. In Russian. Backwards. Without knowing how to read Russian."

Etana laughed before climbing from her chair and making her way over to him, climbing up onto his back and nuzzling at his cheek. "I think she likes everyone more than she lets on."

"I think she'd turn on any of us if the price was right."

Etana shook her head, arms looping around Hardison's neck, hugging him. "She's nutty, I'll give her that, but she's not a traitor. She wouldn't do that. Not when Nate's shown so much faith in her."

Hardison hummed and nodded. His daemon might have a point but he still wasn't going to put all his trust in Parker. Not yet at least.
